Record-breakers turn to us for new website
OUR latest assignment is a new website for Truro City Football Club, which was launched on July 15, a day before the club's first pre-season friendly of the new season at home to Yeovil Town.
Crowned champions of the Zamaretto Premier Division for 2010/2011 to win promotion to the Blue Square Conference (South), Truro beat Banbury away to confirm themselves as league champions, crowning the magnificent achievement with victory on the final day of the season at home to Weymouth.
This marked a special day for the club having achieved five promotions in six seasons, something that has not been achieved in English football history before.
We were approached by the White Tigers to produce their new site after they had seen some of our other football websites.
The site uses the Joomla Content Management System (CMS) for easy updating by the club, as well as software to automatically generate the Blue Square South league table from entered results.
Rescue act
When W & J Smith's domain name registrar went out of business, they not only lost control of their domain name www.rsjcentre.com, but their site was hijacked by a disreputable search engine.
Desperate to restore an important source of customer communication and information, the West Midlands-based company turned to us for help.
Within two working days we were able to transfer the domain name to a new registrar, set-up web hosting on one of our dedicated servers and restore the site to full online accessibility, much to the delight of the client.
